Every time I watch a show on Netflix (eh-hem House of Cards), I then spend three times the amount of time researching the show, characters, and whatever else I click on in the black hole that is Wikipedia because lets face it, seeing what goes on behind the scenes is way more interesting.
Here's some photos snapped by my brother Matthew Cylinder, the extremely talented photographer that you should hire for anything you could possibly need photographed (your pet rat, proof that your roommate did in fact leave the dirty dishes in the sink, etc). I'm wearing Smythe and Krisa, which I got from my client and dear friends at the PR firm Bollare. I'm standing with Erin the publicist, from celebrations.com who is telling me very important things at 6am! There was a crafts service table, but if was for Anderson Cooper 360 (I'm being totally serious).

I was so excited to be chosen as the first florist featured in the new Style Watch column for the go-to floral design magazine Florists' Review. A big honor!
We're in this month's issue of California Wedding Day with a custom "sepia" bouquet. You'll also find one of my favorite bouquets I ever made on the website!
Through unusual circumstances (I posted, she responded) I met Britt of At Large PR based in Vegas and serving worldwide. Holy cow, this woman is ON IT. I mean she went above and beyond anything I expected. In less than two weeks I had about five blogs wanting me to contribute and will be shooting a show for Creative Living on PBS this Fall! How cool is that?! And albeit we've only talked via email (my preference), I feel like I know her so well, in such a short amount of time. We're both busy gals, so working together online is perfect. Between bouncing back and forth between the coasts, gearing up for a tv show and running Flour LA (not to mention this site), it's been nonstop. But that's light compared to Britt's schedule of creating press releases, ghostwriting, doing social media and working on a gazillion other projects. I'm way way behind on all the research and materials I need to give her, but know that when I do, it's about to explode even more. It's been such a fun journey and I feel truly blessed! Def hit Britt up!
When I started Flour LA, I knew all about Mint Julep, and a full three years later, we're featured vendor on their blog. They do awesome work, and get really cool clients, so cheers to another great collaboration in 2013. Check out my interview here to see what I say about everything flower. Thanks Michelle!
In September we did Rachell's wedding in Solvang, and today it was featured on Nicole Miller. Rachelle is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
