Background Steve, a wonderful all-around nice guy ordered this for his fiance, and my good friend Stacey. It looked great, except for the fact that she called to say that gnats surrounded it because her desk was in a dark space. Whoops. Of course I gave her a beautiful white orchid later that week after this had to be tossed. Ingredients:
5 various succulents in different shades 2 small green plants 1 bunch Crespedia or Billy Balls 1 bag Mood or Sheet Moss (prefer sheet for sides and mood on top) 1 fun white ceramic vase You can buy the vase from any home goods store. Look in the kitchen aisle for great white ceramic plates and bowls to use. Pick up the plants at a local nursery or Home Depot. As for the rest of the ingredients, try a local florist or a flower mart if you're near one. Line the vase with the moss. Do not wet it. For this type of arrangement you can leave the succulents in their containers. If the plastic is too high, use a scissors to shorten it. Place inside the moss. Fill holes in with extra moss and cover the top. Cut the crespedia about 4 inches and insert. These dry the same as alive, making this a great choice for a sustainable arrangement. Keep in the sun or somewhere well lit. Water once every two weeks. Less is more with these guys. Voila!
